Plume & Poche
this project explores thermal domestic spaces crafted by autonomous robots—a 6-axis robotic welder and a quadrotor shotdobe robot that layer adobe into walls, creating a tactile thermal landscape. Through a new architectural language, plume and poche emerge. Plume refers to the intangible conditions felt by the body, like temperature shifts that ebb and flow within the space, while poche is the substantial thickness of adobe walls, curating warmth and coolness through layers. Together, plume and poche transform the home into a space where climate and materiality harmonize through an automated yet deeply sensorial process.
