WITNESS

WITNESS is an ongoing spatial and archival project investigating the entangled histories of land, memory, and testimony. Working across site-specific installation, photographic documentation, and material assemblage, the work asks: what does it mean to be present at the site of erasure? What forms of witness are possible when the evidence itself has been removed?

The project draws on oral histories, land records, and material traces to construct spaces that hold contradiction — spaces where absence becomes legible and silence carries weight. WITNESS proposes architecture not as monument but as threshold: a place to pause, to reckon, to remain.
